How many people can I have in my family photos?
For the standard package price we limit the amount of people to 8. If you have a large family or would like exended family photos and have more than 8 people, we are still more than happy to capture all of their beautiful faces. We have add on packages you can view on our
pricing page.
We want to look cohesive, what should we wear?
Most importantly, we want you to be comfortable and feel like yourself so we capture your true personality in every photo. I do personally recommend having everyone dress in colors that "play well" together. I always recommend neutral colors because they tend to blend well with most scenery. Blacks, tans, whites, beige, etc. However, color is definitely an option but i do recommend colors that go well together so you don't have one person in neon yellow while everyone else is in a neutral muted green (for example) and that person looks completely out of place in the photos. In that same aspect i recommend staying away from items with loud or busy patterns as they can compete with the scenery and other outfits. If you are still not sure, please reach out to us with more direct questions if you need further instruction or feedback on options!
Do you have a studio for formal pictures?
We currently do not have a studio space. We focus mostly on lifestyle photography so we really love to do on-location shooting. That could mean a variety of things such a neutral location like one of the many beaches or parks that surround our area, or a more personal space like your own living room to feature your family in a comfortable space. We are very flexible and want to work with what you feel most comfortable doing.
The difference between a wedding and elopement
We have spent many years doing larger scale weddings and due to health reasons, we are trying to be very selective about larger events at this time. Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask us about your event in that capacity though! We do still take on a limited amount each year.
We have been trying to focus on more of an elopement ceremony style which tends to be a smaller scale event. Usually less than 50 people in attendance over with not quite as many of the traditional wedding expectations on a full day scale. If you have questions about what your event would qualify as and if we are avaialable for a consultation, please let us know!
Can we bring our family pet to a session?
Absolutely! If you have a dog, cat, bird, iguana, etc, We want you to bring them! We are very pet friendly and love to incorporate your pet! After all, they are a part of your family! We just ask that they are up to date on all of their vaccines and are good around people and taking direction (not skiddish). We would preferrably like them on a leash but will work with them being off leash if manageable during the session itself. We do reserve the right to turn down photos with the animal if they are being too difficult to work with or aggressive.
Do you offer print packages for our photos?
Because we are a smaller scale business, at this point we do not offer print options. We like to be able to keep our prices at an affordable option for most people and in order to that, the digital versions of the final edited photos are included with every package and printing rights so you can order the prints wherever is manageable for you. Or, like so many people do now, just share them online!
Do you offer any type of mini sessions?
Occasionally we do have pop up mini sessions we offer. We do not offer them all the time. It is a special promotion that we will randomly offer and take reservations for, usually about a month before the session date. Be sure to follow our
facebook page for updates and announcements!
Do you offer customized sessions?
We do! Occasionally someone wants something that is outside of the scope of the standard packages we offer and that's ok! While we don't do everything photography-wise, we do try to accomodate to the best of our ability. We also are not afraid to tell you if it is out of our comfort zone and recommend you to another photographer who may be able to better fit your needs!
